A Wix employee posted in support of terrorism and was fired; Can employers fire employees for speaking and writing their opinions?

An employee of Wix in a branch in Ireland published a post in support of the Palestinians and wrote that Israel is acting in terror against Gaza. The responses were not long in coming, in the end the employee was fired after she did not remove the remarks and even added fuel to the fire with additional comments. But the affair only raises big problems – is the employee entitled to speak her mind, was she lawfully fired?
